| 25-Jul-03 | Fri | Johannesburg | Windhoek | Arrive at Johannesburg at 0925. The connecting flight with South African Airways leave Johannesburg at 1810, arriving at Windhoek for 1910. Once there, the team will meet the in-country agent and head for Chameleon Backpackers for the night. |
| 26-Jul-03 | Sat | Windhoek | Usib | The team will need to drop off their information pack with the British Embassy and provision for the coming project phase. It may well be worth the team buying some items for the project phase. It is then a very short journey to the project school at Usib, near Rehoboth. |

| 10-Aug-03 | Sun | Naukluft Mountains | Hobas campsite | It is a long drive to Hobas, so the team will use the time to prepare for the main trek in a couple of days as they will be trekking approximately 15-20kms a day. The aim is to get to the campsite in time to see the sunset over the canyon from the viewpoint at approx 1730. |
| 11-Aug-03 | Mon | Hobas campsite | Fish River Canyon | The team will visit Ai Ais Hot Springs as this will be their last chance to relax for a while before heading to Canyon Adventures at the beginning of the trek. |
| 12-Aug-03 | Tue | Fish River Canyon | Fish River Canyon | It is an early start for the team, travelling in 4x4's to the start of the trek. Begin by descending into the Lowenriver Canyon, then following the river to the first night's campsite. |
| 13-Aug-03 | Wed | Fish River Canyon | Fish River Canyon | It is an early rise to climb up to the plateau overlooking both Lowenriver Canyon and Fish River Canyon. |
| 14-Aug-03 | Thurs | Fish River Canyon | Fish River Canyon | Trek to the confluence of Fish River and Lowenriver where a swim may be possible. |
| 15-Aug-03 | Fri | Fish River Canyon | Fish River Canyon | Trek along Fish River Canyon to Camp Koelkrans where the team will camp overnight. |
| 16-Aug-03 | Sat | Fish River Canyon | Fish River Canyon | The team will trek into side canyons, reaching The Stable at around noon. The rest of the day is theirs to relax after successfully completing a very gruelling trek. |

| 18-Aug-03 | Mon | Sesriem | Sesriem | There is a chance to see sunrise or sunset from the top of Dune 45 (not to be missed!) and to visit either Sesriem Canyon or Sossusvlei. |
| 19-Aug-03 | Tue | Sesriem | Swakopmund | Rest and relaxation at the old colonial town of Swakopmund. The team will need to contact Alter Action as soon as they arrive to book duneboarding for the next day. |
| 20-Aug-03 | Wed | Swakopmund | Swakopmund | Duneboarding and swimming are among the R&R activities available to the team. |
| 21-Aug-03 | Thurs | Swakopmund | Windhoek | Travel to Windhoek in the morning where the team will have the opportunity to do any last-minute shopping for friends and family back home, a last meal at Joes's Beer House is thoroughly recommended! |
| 22-Aug-03 | Fri | Windhoek | Johannesburg | The team need to be at the airport for 0500 to catch the connecting flight to Johannesburg leaving at 0805 with South African Airways. They will arrive at 1100 and leave Johannesburg at 2015 with South African Airways. |
| 23-Aug-03 | Sat | Johannnesburg | London | The team arrive at London Heathrow at 0625 where they will be met by a member of WCE to hand over the team equipment. From there they will travel back to school to meet their parents. |
